Author: Paul Webb

I am a poet, translator, blogger, researcher and English-language tutor, born in the UK and now based in Recife, Brazil. I hold a BA in Classical Languages and Theology, a Master’s degree in Modern Languages, and a Doctorate in Sociology. I am a qualified and experienced teacher of English as a second language and translator, with specialist diplomas in English for Business and Legal English and long-standing experience with teaching and translation in the fields of English for Academic Purposes, non-governmental organizations, medicine, and the arts. Apart from poetry, teaching and translation, my research and writing interests primarily concern the intersection of political discourse/ideology, culture, and language. I am a strong supporter progressive/libertarian causes, national liberation movements, cultural and social diversity, and the Christian faith.
